Want to know more about the areas where TRGhouses has homes for rent? Here are some quick facts about each of these towns and cities to consider when you’re looking for Collin County rental homes.

Addison

If you're a young professional looking to rent, Addison is the place for you! Just 15 miles north of Dallas, this city has an urban feel and offers a wide variety of retail, restaurants, and coffee shops. Addison nightlife includes bars, pubs, and live music venues. This city is desirable for families as well with its variety of parks and above-averaged-rated schools.

Allen

Allen is a suburb north of Dallas with a population of about 100,000. Allen is a good place for families, thanks to its top-ranked public schools and range of recreational centers. Their parks and recreation department even won a Gold Medal Award from the National Recreation and Park Association in 2016! The location is also ideal for commuters and travelers, as a half hour drive gets you to the heart of downtown or to the DFW International Airport.

Celina

Celina is an up-and-coming town in the DFW area that has been growing in the last few years—yet with a population of about 10,000, it still has a true small-town feel. It is far enough outside of Dallas to offer residents a rural living experience, but close enough that you can be downtown or at the airport in just 45 minutes.

Frisco

Frisco is a popular city located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. So popular, in fact, that its population nearly doubled in size between the 2010 and 2018 censuses to roughly 190,000 residents. What draws people to Frisco? It offers highly ranked public schools, great places to eat, play, and shop, and a reasonable commute to downtown Dallas.

Little Elm

Little Elm is a growing town on the shores of Lake Lewisville. This proximity to water is one of the main perks for its 45,000 residents, who enjoy living in “The Town with a Lake Attitude,” which is Little Elm’s official motto. With a current population of about 45,000, Little Elm continues to expand while maintaining a relaxed, small-town atmosphere.

McKinney

Looking for a mid-sized Collin County city with a dense suburban environment and good schools? With a population just under 200,000, McKinney is an excellent option. Though located a convenient 30 miles outside the center of Dallas, McKinney has plenty to offer its residents on its own: lots of green spaces, a historic downtown, and plenty of shops and restaurants.

Plano

With a population of about 280,000, Plano is the largest city in Collin County. For a city of this size, potential residents will be pleased to know that Plano has excellent public schools and has been named one of the safest cities in America by both Forbes and Law Street Media. Downtown Dallas is just 20 miles away, but Plano residents can also enjoy its wide range of year-round activities, a bustling art scene, prime shopping, and over 1,000 restaurants.

Prosper

Located north of Frisco, Prosper is a small town with good schools in the DFW area. Though its population has grown 2.5x its size since 2010, it is currently home to about 25,000 residents who work to maintain a strong community atmosphere. The town’s motto is, “A Place Where Everyone Matters.”
